That was the newer version that I'd seen of what I used to have.
IIRC, the mechanical way of doing this is called a pantograph, they can change the size.

I'll just google it to make sure I'm not BS'ing - it has been known

Edit: there is a little java app here, I think that some are adjustable. and they will also do 1:1 if you use the 2 outside bits and fix the middle.
