For me you can't beat a goodman/scooter handle for line laying. John sent me a lovely scooter handle for my kent tooling friction which is cracking. I get on very nicel with it, and it's neater than the S handle I had on there which stuck out a bit. The kent tooling option I prefer to the Halcyon I've tried, the friction to lock and unlock was more intuitive for me. There are other up and downsides (like the price difference!) but you won't go far wrong with this.

All in all you'll get on fine with it. I found the scooter handle fine for SMB work as well, when winding it in it was right there, when sat on stops I could put it on the back of my hand.

If you call John he will sort you out with both handles, and I would venture would even let you try them both out and send one back. He's the kind of guy who goes the extra mile in my experience, so give him a bell and he will sort you out with either/both and probably cover all the bases regarding use. John does know his products and uses them.

Digs.
