I agree that if you really want to do drift for example then fine, accept the delay etc. All I'm trying to say is schools or instructors shouldn't try and force what they find logistically easisest/most cost effective to do on students.

Take boat/drift - if I had a boat then it would be easy to do those two as art of the AOW - as I havn't then students can by all means do em but I would price accordingly and there will be delays - not much sea in Watford !

When I worked Turkey last year the advanced was always PPB, Boat and possibly S&R. To me the student never had a choice when you could do Night, Photo, DPV all of which are far better. To do a boat dive as part of your advanced when the whole o/w course was from a boat is a cop out!

Mind you, when I did my AOW with Dave I did about 7/8 adv dives and picked the ones out to count - benefits of doing a famous Capers trip to Portland I guess!! :cheering:
