Richard Pyle suggested watch the computer so it turns the minute twice so you do somewhere between 61 and 119 seconds. I saw the 2 minutes on DAN Europe's Doppler studies as time for a total flush through the alveoli so I modified that to see the minute tick three time. Also they were talking about every 10 meters - which they rated as better than just going slowly.
I will admit I tend to stuff in extras between the VR3 stops if I've been deep as I'm a coward and my slow ascent rates tend to clear them before I get there. I worry about deep stops but not shallow ones. I'll give it an extra five minutes or maybe ten at 6m but not the big extras some computer conservatism models ask for.
