Just found in work a few bits of piping that may be of use to a torch builder as a battery housing.
Black pipe, circa 1cm wall (i.e. incompressible!) and about 10cm internal diameter - half meter of (could make 2 battery holders?). Very similar to the larger Halcyon pack....
Also a blue version, but internal dia of circa 15cm so it's seriously big!
All you'd need to do is figure a way of sealing each end - with a lathe you could turn a screw thread into either.
Let me know if I should half-inch it for you.
