David, it's in the OP.

You use [IMG][/IMG] tags around a URL to the photograph. Firstly you must upload the picture somewhere else on t'interweb and then link to it like this:
[IMG ]http://img1.photobucket.com/albums/atckyrre/ughabugha.jpg[/IMG]
(I've added an extra space into the first tag in this message, so the image won't actually show)

One point to be aware of is that web forwarding doesn't work for images (or to be accurate, it didn't 3 weeks ago when I last tried it). I upload my images to my own domain (http://www.sterritt.co.uk) which is stored on a commercial server. If I use

[IMG ]http://www.sterritt.co.uk/sharm06/s21.jpg[/IMG]

then the image does not appear, but if you cut and paste that into your browser, you'll see my picture. However, if I expand the url to give the true storage address:

[IMG ]http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~kiddh/cds/sharm06/s21.jpg[/IMG]

then it works fine. Cut and paste that into your browser and you'll see exactly the same photograph.

I hope this helps, Chris

PS Please note, that I've written the tag as '[IMG ]' deliberately to prevent images actually from appearing. You should use '[IMG]' - no space before the ']'.
