Got it sorted via Bupa 2 days later. Stress related - no shit!!! (that'll be the 3 hr wait in A&E I suppose)

Please don't make me take out my soapbox here!

You were assessed, had an ECG recorded by the sounds of it - it showed no immediate life threatening condition - so you have to wait.

If your ECG was in anyway suspicious you would have been pounced on from every direction.

Remember, 99.99% of the time, if you are left to wait in A&E it is because you do not need immediate attention.

The modern Emergency Department has become a emergency facility, GP, mental health drop-in service, social care facility and much much more. Over two thirds of patients attending need not have been there in the the first place.

If you are fit to wait, you wait - if someone else comes in who cannot wait - you wait longer, it really is that simple.

For all of those who love to knock the NHS, come and work a few shifts at the pointy end of health care, with insufficient staff, inadequate resources and customers (can't call them patients anymore) who often regard you as not worth scraping off their shoe - despite you doing the best you can for them.

No wonder I'm getting the hell out!

[/RANT]

And breathe.. and off for another 12 1/2 hour night shift in your local friendly A&E
