(sorry for hijacking your thread B - I've been giving this some thought myself !!!! )
It is absolutely fine... well I am very happy with the club, he has always given little discounts here and there but as DM there will be free air, staff discounts, and he allows us to take the DM learning as far as it comes and I am with my first students on Saturday (so so so excited..) All staff takes turns to go on the club holidays, I have hinted to them already that the trip on MV Serenity in the autumn would be perfect for me.. lol.. these trips for DM's and Instructors alike are free..

There is cost involved, the DM internship costs money, how much is very much from club to club differnt. When you get the price, be sure you check if the crew pack is included.. it costs more than £90 if not. Then there is the HSE but that is expected, and the padi membership fee.. otherwise... it is just dive dive dive.. (and that is just a sheer godly added bonus if you ask me - lol)

I have been offered work after the DM training and will most likely continue right into assistant instructor.... the club will train me to EFR instructor for free as a little perk too which I suppose is good for them as it is good for me..

All in all, really really excited, got all my crew pack etc..and it is amazing, I am so happy to be taking this step towards becoming a professional and can not wait for my first discover scuba ....

Ask away, I am happy to send you emails of how I find it, that way you can see if it is for you...
