If I need to get the dirty clothes on and get right down in there I shall, as long as I know what to look for. I'm not averse to getting 'stuck in'

I suspect it's something to do with the steering/bearings/whatever that bit is called

if its when you brake it is not likely ( not impossible though) to be the wheel alignment. brakes are an easy start point , will talk more tomorrow though.

My steering pump still howls though just not as loud
