Likewise, if I get the Kent Tooling reel, is the extra bulk of the goodman handle worthwhile?
What are the pro's and con's of each?

<font color='#0000FF'>The goodman handle is ideal for situations where 3 hands are necessary. Sits on the back of the hand allowing you to manipulate things as if you're not holding somthing aswell (if that makes sense)!
They are a bit bulky, but not too much.
Ratchets vs Friction, hmmm. Definately a personal/task decision.
Ratchets are very handy for locking the spool when you want to, just leggo the lever.
Friction requires a bit more interaction.
Ratchets more prone to breaking (shock when ratchet applied = x2 reels 4 me

).
Both good methods, borrow a mates/instructors and see what u think.
