| Auxiliary Coastguard Strike Hi all,
I've just heard on the news that 12 Auxiliary Coastguard stations have gone on strike, and it is expected more may follow due to the fact that if they are injured on duty it transpires they would not be covered for loss of earnings or injury under the MCA's insurance policy.
I don't know if that is the whole story or news spin, but if it is it's outrageous that a volunteer's family and livelihood could be put at risk if injured trying to help others.
Let's hope it is resolved quickly.
Safe diving,
Steve
