don't use duck tape to seal up leaking ski gloves (at the end of the ski season), and then try to dry them out on the radiator, I promise you, it was better getting soggy fingers in the first place
other than that duck tape can be relied upon to create number plates from torn up bits when another car is towing the boat or you've lost the trailer board number plate, also when the bungees that hold the trailer board to the boat wear thin and pop off at 70 mph duck tape works remarkably well to hold them back on again.
of course none of this can be sanctioned by the BSAC boat handling course (which incidently I'm doing next weekend
