a great 'beginner' wing is a TekWing from AP. You can usually pick them up on e-bay for about 120 quid. They come with an ABS backplate, so its good to travel with, and a pre rigged harness. This means you just bung on a cylinder or two and go dive. As time progresses you can flog it for what you paid or replace the b/p with a combro s/s job and rig your own webbing, which wont cost a fortune, about 40/45 quid all-in.
The bladder wing itself has 22Kg of lift so you mighty find twin 12's about your limit. Alternatively become a fashion victim and spend a fortune, which if I had the money I probably would do, or recognise you need more lift and get a wing for that instead/as-well. But they are a good first step, will last a while, make a great second wing and you wont lose much when you sell-on.
