| Sorry to hear of the problem. Don't know if you would want to try it but I use Docs Pro Plugs - the vented variety. I used to get a lot of ear infections and was told not to get my ears wet..... a bit difficult for a diver. These keep water out but allow you to equalise.
They can be obtained from musician shops as they are sold to prevent musicians deafening themselves with loud music but I have been using them for the past 3 years without a problem. You have to be measured for fit though.
