Also you havent said how rapid was rapid - if you polarised out of the water it's one thing
But when i learnt to dive there were no computers so we were told to asscent slower than our bubbles, now however i wear a computer which is punnishingly restrictive in it's ascent rates [not a bad thing]
and the other factor is "and the body you were using came from???" - we all different and our bodies seem to be able to tolerate different levels of punishment withou obvious injury.
the only real answer is what happened on the surface.

i never came out like scud i just came up quick ,how quick god know`s ,quick enough to scare me and i think were all made up different so maybe some one else could have done the same dive and got bent who know.
but untill it happens to you you don`t know how you would react we can all say i`d do this or i would do that but like i said before thanks for all the comments and can anyone tell me why my arms ache and i have a rash all over?........(joking)
