The Vytec controls your ascent rate instead of doing deeper stops. So I beleive it doesent actualy show a stop or deco but it is slowing down your ascent rate as you go. The VR3 allows for a faster ascent but inputs stops as it goes. The VR3 is renowned for bending people but i find this claim incredible as its one of the most Conservative dive computers i have ever owned. I have run dives up to 3 1/2 hours to depths of 105m and all on 0 safety on the VR3. Typically Id do 45mins at 60m 2 1/2 hour run on the VR3 often two or three days in a row.

Most people who actually use a VR3 complain its too conservative.

20/80GF is about right if you want to find the in water time for a VR3 deco profile.

You should also notice that once you go multi gas that the VR3 times and the Vytec times start to match pretty close. However with the vytec you have to be at their desired stop depth or it will continue to rack deco.

I messed about with it all for a while but my conclusion was switch the Vytec on to gage mode and stop using it. Cut tables or run DOTF for your deco as a back up to the VR3 Then just follow the VR3.

By the by I ran my Shearwater Computer on 10/85 GF and the other day we did a 50m dive. 10GF gives prety much the deepest deep stops and my first stop was at 27m the VR3 gave a first stop at 39m. Neither computer was wrong its just the way they calculated it. Both my buddy on the VR3 and me on the Shearwater got out bend free.
