| Get your calculator- a blending quiz Right. Currently in the boot of my car I have:
AL40 with 110 bar of 49% in it.
Twin 12.5's with 40 bar of 33% in them.
Twin 10's with 10 bar or air in them.
AL3 with 73 bar of O2 in it.
At work I have a J of O2 with 85 bar in it (that's a 50 litre cylinder).
So. What I want to end up with is....
Twin 12's with 26% in them for a 43m dive.
Twin 10's with 26% in them for the same dive.
AL40 with fiddy in it.
AL3 with fiddy in it.
10's, 12's and 3 are 232, AL40 is 207.
Now. I know I can get enough from the J to blend all of that from flat cylinders. However the pikey in me hates chucking anything away, especially 110 bar of perfectly good fiddy. So- using the 3 of O2 and AL40 with 49% as the source of my O2, what's the calcs for transferring it to the other cyls? Can it be done? Is there enough fiddy? What about using the 3 of O2 only? Cos 110 in the 40 is enough for the deco on the dive. |
