Cells

As Nick says you need to run 100% o2 through the cells once they're opened and let them settle down again before re calibrating them again. I don't know what you've done or if you've done anything wrong at all but it is concerning that you continued to decend knowing that you had a problem with both cells. I have had my fair share of problems with cells and I know of a few others who have had even more, but my cells always go off on one then come up with 'SET'... normaly SET 3. I have one winging its way to me now after one of mine played up and its being replaced under warrenty, there does seem to be a problem and this SET 3 has never been explained to me. I suggest you email Germany and give them dates and details of what the cells did and see what they say, they do seem to be very helpful when approched with problems with the equipment. It is strange though that both cells go down together with different faults. No doubt the INSPO boys will be able to give some tips as I understand they too have their fair share of problems with cells. After night diving I have decided that a HUD with an independant cell is a must, If you had one you could have at least got out knowing you were breathing a good mix. To be honest I think they should come with a HUD as standard and 3 cells should be the minimum HSE requirement. Gaz
