Each to there own of course, but pulling to dump puts too much strain on the elbow and it s merely a matter of time before it gives( usually at the most inappropriate moment). I used to this also, found it very convenient but it will fail, I can find no faults in having the hose under arm and venting using the power deflate, if needs be you can quickly convert the routing over sholder too, at least at all times you are in controll of everything and can find it instinctively...
