| Imported post I set up a system at home that consists of the broadband modem (Zoom) physically connected to a wireless router (US Robotics).
On my laptop (XP Home) I have a card (US Robotics) and on a desktop (XP Pro) a usb wireless adapter (Intel). The whole thing works sweetly with no physical connection between the any of the computers or the router.
It was damned frustrating setting it up but once I got it to work - ahhh blisss.
Also, I can pick up internet access (for Avantgo) with my PDA which also has wireless capability.
I haven't set a list of authorised MAC address yet - I'll have to do this.
You may have noticed by now that I have a tendency towards PC geekery.
Simon, can you connect you NTL box via ethernet to a router? If you can then it that's yer answer.
