Its like the old legend (probably happened but the navy involved has been lost to time) about the ferking big ship asking the blip on the radar screen ahead to alter course as they are much bigger than it, get a negative reply back several times, them getting a bit pissed off and demanding the other guys to alter course and the reply being "we are a lighthouse, your call"
Personal fave is:
Two warships passing in the English channel, one American, one British. The Americans radio ours and say "and how is the worlds second biggest navy this morning?" and got the reply "we are fine thanks, how is the worlds second best?"
