| Might be worth getting your ears checked. When I was younger and sillier, I went swimming with a damaged ear drum and afterwards water came from my nose like a tap. I guess it is like holding an upside down bottle in water. If there is a hole in the top for the air to escape it can fill with water. Otherwise the air keeps the water out. Never had it when diving. I would have thought if you have a mask on and sufficient air in your sinuses from equalizing then it wouldn't happen?
