That's handy but a pretty marginal 'benefit'. You need the right nitrox and the right jet for the planned depth and then it only gives you a gas extension that is comparable with diving a normal single instead of the little built in tank. You have to do all the cleaning and carry the scrubber material and for what? Dive a 15L, get the same dive and just get it filled.

I took an CCR to the Hebrides and cross filled it from my two 7L tanks of DIL and O2 and did a 12 dive week's holiday only getting my suit inflate topped up. That's a week's any depth 18/40 trimix diving with high O2 accelerated deco and still brought 80bar home in each tank. No dive involved me in any pre-planning as I can agree what we're doing with my buddy, also on a CCR as we buddy check. The blendermatic rules for convenience and there is a lot of choice in CCRs now if you don't like yellow, although I wouldn't change. I feel I get payback for the cleaning and the scrubber fills.
