Looking at the photo, it does look like the hose is pushing the reg into an uncomfortable position.

The first thing I would do is to take the strain relief off both sides of the hose, this is free and may just do the trick.

If it doesnt work, then you may want to look at different length hoses or swivels. Though if the strain relief thing didn't work, I would wonder why the hose is quite so inflexible - it is a problem with that particular hose? Maybe you could borrow a different hose from someone else before buying one?

But anyway, try taking the strain relief bits off both ends first, that may give more flexibility.
