the c4 is considerably better than the sl4 with a brighter and wider output. i use the c4 eLed on trips abroad due to it's weight and it'll easily do 10 hrs of night diving on one set of batteries. i did try rech's with it but the light output was definately down, so would recommend a set of good alkalines. i have a filament sl4 as a backup permanently mounted in the wing shoulder pad, but it can't compete with the c4 at night.
should be getting a few lenser frogmans in a day or so, so it'll be interesting to see how they compare to the c4 and the sl4.
