| All of the above is correct, I buy and sell all the time on Ebay and have a credit card and my bank details listed with them.
They want the correct name as stated on the credit card so you then become what is identified as a "Verified" account. Basically means that you are not trying to pull a fast one.
If you're in doubt, why not ask the seller if they'll accept a cheque (as Colin said, if you have a cheque book), or perhaps they'll accept cash sent by recorded special delivery.
There's always ways of working it out...........Good luck.
