Like I say check with an instructor but it certainly used to be the case that provided you had 'A' decompression qualification, 'A' Nitrox qualification and proof of experience diving in a suitable depth range, you could enter IANTD Normoxic at the instructors discretion. In a similar manner you could go from BSAC Basic to IANTD Technical provided you held a decompression qualification (Dports Diver or better). It is while since I had any interest in this so maybe the nanny state has caught up with them.
