After several days in the bosom of the NHS, and taking 19 pills a day, I am now on the road to recovery. I can now walk short distances with only mild discomfort, rather than excruciating agony
I'll start a new thread in the next couple of days with the full gory details, as the use of a pree valve may well have been a contributing factor in my misery
