| Insurance woes...
I was involved in an RTA on 27th December last year about 50 yards from Islington nick, the other driver came out of a side road...
I called the police because a) I figured on personal injury b) proximity to the nick and c) the attitude of the other driver was a bit sus. He blew positive and got arrested, the medics ended up having me signed off work for 3 basta*d months.
Almost a year on there has been no real progress, the other prat denies liability and claims to have a witness that I was speeding....(the witness got the time wrong by 4 hours among other minor details and has since changed their statement...) and despite the police accident report his insurers seem not to acknowledge the drink thing...
So be prepared for a possible long haul. If the other driver has admitted liability you may find things quicker but ordinarily insurance companies are very reluctant to allow their clients to cede responsibility.
