| I bought an SU-1000, then had it upgraded to become an SU-25000, which it using what Solus are colling Gen2 technology.
Basically Gen2 is more efficient, so the 2500 is a fair bit brighter on full power, and it's low power setting is a bit less bright but much more time (10hrs), compared to SU 1000.
Also 2500 has better charging setup in that charger plugs into pack base rather than pack base stands upon a charging plate.
Make no mistae though the SU 1000 is a good torch and that's not a bad price if in good nick. Though it sounds like you ight want to contact Mr F before taking any action...
