Factors increasing oxygen toxicity:
  • Exercise
  • Immersion
  • Stress Response
  • Carbon dioxide
In a pot most of these don't come into play, so you are much more likely to tolerate the high PPO2. Some still do the funky chicken however, often without any warning at all.

Everyone was laughing on the pot dive (30m IIRC) during my dive medical examiner course - mind you it did look like a load of medics having a childrens party, with balloons and bottles of lemonade.
