Ditto what the guy's say Ian, mine was a 2.1, C1, just had it serviced at Delta P and they upgraded it to the new software version as part of the "Health Check".
As far as I am aware as long as you are running at least 2.1 you should be able to upgrade without hardware changes - unless you go for a colour screen
