Like Andy said, the one in the bottom pic. is the "right" way.  Valve has to be on the left.  Main reason is so that it can be "feathered" with the left hand if the reg is free flowing for some reason.  With the valve on the left you can still do this when scootering.

You can get the Luxfer AL80's and AL40's in Europe, about £170 for an AL80 is about right.  The trouble you will have is getting somebody to fill them. I'm having all sorts f problems with this myself at the moment.

I tie the spg back with cave line.  It won't break.
