My situation is, and this leads to my question, I am BSAC qualified but my training is now with PADI (as I am an ex pat in Luxembourg) and I'm a rescue diver, soon to be dive master...etc etc.

I have a fused hip (right side, from a car crash when I was 17, 17 years ago) and I have been an serious, active diver for many years. I'm always learning and pushing....

Right, from what I have read, i could never make it as a DIR qualified diver, fine, but what would the attitude be if I bowled up to a DIR course expecting not to get through....would that be acceptable, just to learn the skills etc.

Wondering....
