I use a nose clip the heavy duty kind that synchronised swimmers use   although I have only used it to dive in a filthy lake.It is just a standard brigade divator went to 7m with no bother though.

One of the pleasures of a FFM is being able to have the occasional sniff. No snotty beak for me when I surface.
