Ansmann make both very good batteries and very good (intelligent) chargers to go with them.

By "intelligent" I mean that they discharge the batteries as well as recharge them and I don't care what you say, NiMH do have a memory even if it is relatively insignificant. Cumulative "hits" on a battery will make that insignificance significant. Ansmann chargers do this completely automatically yet are still pretty quick.

The other good thing about Ansmann is that they are fairly reasonable in price, the bad thing about them is that they are not properly represented here in Oz. (but they are in the UK).
