The company I work for manufacture the landing gear ribs for Airbus A320/321/340 EIS and -600 and A380 (now they are huge) and the Pintle pins. Gear ribs are machined aluminium forgings and bolted to the wings, to which the landing gear is bolted to. A large 'Pintle pin' made from hardened steel forging locates said gear rib through brass bushes fitted in the gear rib. I can only presume the Boeing derivitive are of a similar nature.
