I guess a big part of the answer would depend on your budget. How much are you looking to spend? Could spend over a £1000 on a torch...

I would predict that many of the suggestions will involve HID and a large number of them will be Salvo recommendations

I've got a Greenforce and am happy with it's enormous brightness too.
