The point is really that you'd expect it to last longer than that with normal use, and that they cost a feckin fortune.

of course you would have to prove that the damage was not owner caused and reasonable maintanance has been carried out in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.
but ask nicely and JJ might do it fer free if its dubious about the cause.
go in like a twat and you can guarantee that it will be repaired at a cost.
