| We have visited Grenada 5 times and dived with Ecodive (based at the Coyaba), Dive Grenada (just down Grand Anse Beach) and Aquanauts (a centre on Grand Anse, but their big facility is across the island)... all were good in there own way, but it depends what diving you want.
Ecodive....
I did my PADI open water course with them 5 years ago (I am an AI now), Marv is a nice mellow knowledgable guy from the US, they have one dive boat, at as of last year no nitrox
Dive Grenada
Mick and Phil (both from UK, Phil used to work for Ecodive) are a good team, again laid back and knowledgeable, one dive boat again, and I think no nitrox.
Both of these tend to do the easier "cruise ship" type dives on the caribbean side of the island (including Shakem approx 32 M, plenty of good reefs), and the Bianca C (40 M, titanic of the caribbean etc). We were very satisfied with diving with both of these dive centres, however.......
Aquanauts
We were a bit nervous about switching to them. They have Nitrox, but we had heard they suffered from german efficiency and crowded boats. Actually they were the most professional dive centre we found (in this case german efficiency a great plus), excellent at all levels, covering both the dive sites Ecodive and Dive Grenada covered with multiple boats, BUT also including the atlantic side (more challenging, excellent diving, King Mitch, Hema I etc). They used a smaller boat for the more experienced divers and ensured dives were at appropriate level for the divers. On the atlantic side there were plenty of nurse sharks, eagle rays etc. Aquanauts also were a bit more european/UK in mindset (eg pony bottle availability for deep dives, rather than the "it's the warm caribbean with clear water so it will be OK" approach).
Overall it depends what sort of diving you're after, but we would always go back to Aquanauts.
PM me if you want more info / pictures /dive site info.
