Also there's a small dam at Millbrook near Stalybridge that was "ownerless" when I used to fish it... probably 7-8m max but water was always gin-clear and access/parking is really easy  | Debdale's on the Gorton side of the Audenshaw Reservoirs, I dived it 23 years ago, got some swan mussels for my bitterlings to breed in.
