Tunicates are Mad!

Well, they are though arnt they? I mean, Salps, what are they about eh?

So, a mahoosive hallo to all you confirmed YDers, my names Oliver or Tam for short. I started Padi diving about 2 1/2 years ago in Sharm, followed up by an AOW in Dahab. A couple of subsequent trips to Southern Egypt puts me at 51 dives (I'm still counting) and looking forward to doing some UK diving soon, to give me a different viewpoint and new environments. Drysuit and Deep and Nitrox course to come. I'm in London so thats gonna be at Wraysbury and south coast most likely.

I spent most of my distant youth disco dancing and cycling - up to 400 miles a week, consequently have a resting heart-rate of @ 40 bpm. Favourite tunes used to be more like 140 bpm, but they're slowing down now to @ 95bpm - it must be old age.

I've been reading YD for a few days (not continuously) and appreciate the 'what went wrong' forum and loving the DiFF. I'm still trying to do everything 'proper' cos I'm such a noob - but do do forward rolls and sometimes swim upside down.

I'll probably change the name before too long - it just leapt at me at the register stage...........I remember on one of our first unguided dives seeing these salps all joind together like spokes of a wheel and was just bugged out at how wierd they were.....
Really looking forward to meeting some UK sea-life too, but maybe not that shark that took the big chunk out of the seal in Norfolk.
