Hi Marty

That course is an eye opener for many people mate. I myself left the course feeling totally dejected having had three days of feeling more like a bag of shit diver than normal. However, you need to realise the only person beating you up is yourself!

Give it a couple of days, and I bet a lot of what Mark was talking about and showing you will start to sink in. Remember that the AN and DP course is basically holiding you just outside your comfort zone for three whole days, so right now you're depressed and knackered!

Once you have rested, then decide what you are going to do about the valves. It sounds to me like you've got two out of three, so you can read that as being nearlyu there! Some people take months and months of stretching and practice before they can do it (It took me 18 months). However, if you decide you've had enough, then fair enough! If Inverted cylinders is what you need to shut the damn things down, then that has got to be better than NOT being able to shut down at the end of the day. The DIR mob won't care, we're not the dive police, mate. However, if you are going to invert them, please ensure you do not mention me in any of your posts again, or contact me for any reason.

cheers

G
