Doesn't matter what other people think then does it. Deco is not a clear science, what works, works. And that is all you can go by.
The VR3 is clearly working for you, what more do you need to know?
I've done around 300 VR3 dives. A few to 100m, a few to 70m, probably 100 to 50m, and I think around 220 of those 300 have been deco dives. I set the VR3 to safety 20 and I O2 flush at 6m when I have 25 mins deco left to do. Never been bent.
