I've got one. It's better than using the camera's built in flash, but nowhere near as good as a proper strobe. Basically it's a slave flash unit in a waterproof housing, so you still need the built in flash to trigger it, which means that you still get some backscatter. It's manual as well so you need to set it properly to get decent results, I've got loads of overexposed shots
