I have done liveaboards with Blue O2, Tony Backhurst and Explorers in the Red Sea and have had positive experiences with all three. Occasionally things do go wrong and you don't get the experience you expected. Certainly when I travelled with Blue O2 things weren't as expected, their boat wasn't ready! They hired an alternative boat, gave us free nitrox and took us out for dinner and drinks by way of apology. They also offered us a 10% discount of our next trip with them. Something i have yet to take up. The trips with TB and Explorers were faultless by comparison.

The only problem i see here is the lack of a satisfactory conclusion to the OP's bad experience on their TB trip. Given the reputation TB has i think most of us would expect better. If there has still been no communication from TB then i would suggest taking the matter up face to face at the dive show. The man himself is usually there and you won't get the run around from reception!
