Would there be any disadvantage in getting an AA to C cell converter (so that I can use the AA NiMH cells I already have) or would I get more brightness/burntime out of rechargable c cells.

The highest capacity rechargable c cells I can find without looking too hard is 2600 mAh. Does this sound about right?

If you've seen the goodman handle thread, I'm sure you can guess what I'm up to

burntime may be slightly longer with C cells but brightness won't be affected. youm may end up wrecking the AA cells if you over work em. the C cells at 2600mAh are fairly good as most AA are about the 1700 - 2100 mark, you can get higher but the cost goes astronomical.

I would buy the c cells but i like playing with new things
