On the cenote front, Dos Ojos is a good cavern dive or two, though it gets a bit like Piccadilly Circus at times. Should be a bit quieter at this time of year. Or there's a nice cavern dive at Taj Mahal, which is nearer.

Cozumel sites like Palancar are an option and there's a wreck of a Russian warship too. Tortuga reef off Playa is a good dive, plenty of turtles and tarpon. Some of the shallower Playa dives are good for fish life.
