3 have it for free on a £15/month 18 month contract, but I have no quarrel with O2, with whom I'm with now.

I may look at Orange as coverage at sea is supposed to be better, (although I AM VHF qualified ) and you get 1/2 price cinema tickets.

I've been with 3 for about 2 years now. (I currently have the N95 as well)
I used to travel to Norway & Sweden almost every week and have also used it in the US as well as all over Europe and never had a single issue (You can even access 3g content in Sweden as there is a 3 network there)
If you want to access 3g content in this country then you will occasionally run in to problems as the coverage is not 100% (the phone will still work, just not the 3g content) and in some rural areas it goes to 2g content (phone only)
I think you will be hard pressed to get better value for money than with 3 but the call centres can be a little frustrating.
