Going for the fourth time this July/August (we like it warm

). One of the attractions is Elphinstone where you can see Hammerheads and OWT but it can get busy with day boats. The dive center from Marsa Shagra gets out there for about 6.30 so it's just the liverboards which helps. As regards other marine life you have all the usual Red Sea suspects in abundance but without the diver numbers you have in Sharm or Hurghada, but this is changing year on year as people discover it. Don't expect the night life of Sharm as you are pretty much confined to your hotel so pick a decent one. We have stayed at Coraya Beach Resort which I would recommend.
